Q: If you're so good, why aren't you #1 on Google?

A: A naive but fair question. I would respond "For which terms do you mean?" As my book explains, getting a high ranking for a very generic or competitive keyword like "Google" is extremely difficult and not worth the effort. As with anything in business, you must weigh the costs against the benefits. It isn't worth committing the resources to chase a goal that won't produce good ROI. I have consistently ranked very well for the terms "google secrets", "google seo secrets", "google ranking secrets", and others, which was my intent all along for this particular website.

Q: If you're so good, why do you need to advertise using Google Adwords?

A: This is like asking a company why do they need to advertise. Using AdWords brings me a positive ROI - it pays for itself plus some. It's that simple.

Q: Why don't you answer my email?

A: I get of flood of email. Most email questions are answered already in this FAQ. As for other common questions: No, I do not do free consultations. I do not answer ill-thought-out questions like "I want to make sure I get my money's worth" (Answer: get a refund if you don't like the book), or "my rankings went from #5 to #7 yesterday, what should I do" (Answer: nothing), or "can you get me to #1 on Google for "real estate" ASAP" (Answer: no, it doesn't work that way) and stuff like that.
